No. Read it slowly this time. I said that Bill and Warren won't be the only ones to pay higher taxes. That would be taking advantage of them.
The country cares about what Warren and Bill says, not really what you have to say. Buffett and Gates said that they believe they should be paying higher taxes.
Then let them go ahead and pay higher taxes. Nothing is stopping them. The rest of us have a different opinion and shouldn't be subject to their whim. On this subject, they are idiotic, but by all means, they can pay more.
Again, they will pay more when they are required to pay more. They believe that they should pay more. If the lower income folk don't believe that the super rich should pay more taxes ... so be it.
While you and short sighted folks may only be concerned with what you can personally get while you are walking the planet; others are concerned about the longevity of our nation. Such short-sightedness is the furthest thing from being a patriot. It's more akin to criminal-mindedness.
Then they should. Gates and Buffett should go ahead and make voluntary tax increase payments. The rest of us will continue to fight for lower spending and no increase in taxes.
No, they will when it applies to all those in their category. It's not just about what two people will pay, it has to be something 'the people' want. Again: If the average citizen is happy with the mega-rich paying lower taxes than them, so be it. They gave the average citizen a clue. If average citizens are too dumb to follow-up, and would rather take your advice instead, so be it. ... let's see where this debt-laden country ends up eventually.
There is no need for the rich to pay more when half of the country pays zero. Spending should be cut. By all means though Gates and Buffett can pay more taxes if they wish.
