I see, you don't catch irony. No worries. But you do expect a trained electrician or plumber to fix your problems, or are you satisfied with the nice guy who comes knocking on your door? Americans constantly reduce everything to the most common denominator. There rarely seem to be any effort to rise up and create value from peoples accomplishments. It's a result of abysmal education standards, functional mindsets and total lack of intellectual sophistication from those who think there's more money to be made unclogging toilets than going to college, or suggesting getting rid of all but engineering degrees because they're useless. Hell, you don't need an engineering degree to unclog sewers! While I can live with an untrained waiter ruining my meal, I can only suggest one to check the apprenticeship and training one goes through before becoming a factory worker at BMW or Mercedes Benz in Germany versus one at GM or Ford in Michigan. There's a reason Tesla is scouting the world for the best minds.
Yes.. if its not about money then how can these government subsidized college kids ever be self sufficient? They will continue to rely on the government. Give me a break, you sound ignorant.
Just look at what you wrote. You write like a slob without any coherence to back up your claims. It doesn't take much brain to figure out that you yourself don't have a major in STEM. So what the eff are you bitching about?
I often wonder why there are so many doctors these days. Most of them are doctors only in name might I add. They've chosen their profession for money and prestige rather than saving lives. Even worse, why are there so many third-level med schools that crank out these inferior doctors (although not all, but I imagine a lot of them shouldn't be doctors)? It's no wonder why medical malpractice suits are going up every year. No wonder then why the insurance premiums these doctors pay are skyrocketing. As a result, no wonder why these idiot doctors can't help but overcharge their patients. No wonder (you knew that was coming, didn't ya?) why the overall medical costs are rising year after year for everyone---duh!
Shifting the goalposts from waiters and cab drivers to plumbers and electricians is dishonest the level of skill and knowledge required are vastly different, so are you a dishonest debater? I am very satisfied with uber drivers over cab drivers, let's leave it at that, they don't need some stupid ass training. All a waiter has to do is take my order, deliver my food and whatnot, be attentive and polite, that's it. You want to pay some moron a lot of money to do more than that? LOL, you do that, I don't need an $120 lunch with a decent wine presentation. Master plumbers do in fact make more than liberal arts majors in general, but you want to pretend the central question is not valid, you want to go on pretending that gender studies degrees for instance are just as valuable as electrical engineering degrees. It is a really stupid idea to say all college degrees are equal, but hey I can't fix stupid.
