  3. It sounds like Trader555 is NOT a trader but a gambler drawn to the "thrill" and hidden pain of it all.

If so he may not have to leave the wife - she may leave him, and he may not sell the farm it may be repossesed.

  4. definitely a "sham" post, but funny. although if anyone was short, all day, it had to be painful... i felt some pain from my morning shorts, most had to be short, but fortunately caught onto the retail turnaround mid-day

  5. Be real careful when it "feels good" having a big losing day!

That should be a sure warning sign that you are a gambler, not a trader.

What the heck makes people believe that being in the "pit" would make anyone who is not a successful trader suddenly become one?

Probably quite the opposite. All the emotion of the pit may well have one completely lose sight of the "business". I believe the vast majority of those in the pit are there because they were successful enough to get there.

As for not reversing, - I strongly suspect you are working with a losing system, or you just chose to ignore it (gamblers ignore winning systems - it takes away the thrill of being right).

Any system worth a dime would have had you out of shorts with a minimum loss, or 4 point gain from the morning drop and long no later than just after noon. Of course the exact exit reversal numbers would vary greatly with the system

Maybe you'd like to give up the "thrill" of playing trader and start a trading "business" to make money - unless your a rich eccentric and can afford the 'thrills".

  6. I've known a number of people who will kill themselves before admitting they are in the wrong position and exit, or reverse.

They just keep believing the market WILL reverse and all will be well - they don't have stops working because they secretly want to be hurt.

Trader555 may not be for real, but there are thousands like that.
