Backup Power and cable modem

    I'll get youu a price it might be a day or two because I'm having some problems someone got a hold of my bank account info and decided to go on a spending spree so I'll be running around most of the day but I'll get back to you asap

  3. I use the Direcway satellite dish (2-way) for internet and trading. This is only because I have to. I can't get cable or DSL where I live and a phone modem will only run about 24k.

    It has been fairly reliable the last year or so, but the "latency" and occasional weather-related issues would make it not good enough for fulltime trading use IMHO, if you had any other decent options. But it does work.

    But the cool thing is that the "Network Op Center" (the ground stations and Web connections) are in Maryland, so if you can keep your computer and sat modems powered, a bad power failure in your area will not be seen at all (if you aren't in the DC-MD area). Costs about $60 a month.
