It's not stupid at all. For any goal, some things work, others just don't. Some things are a pure waste of time. We have seen many of these idiotic words ("data mining", "business intelligence", "cloud", "big data", "data science", "quantum finance", ... bla bla bla). It's just "software", algorithms, and databases. And software just reflects and incorporates the intelligence of the coders. If you hire stupid underpaid coders, your software will also show that.
