backtesting software

  1. May I have your opinions on choosing backtesting s/w.

Have TS2000i installed but learning curve is steep... Have AMIbroker installed which looks more appropriate to my needs.

What are you using and are you satisfied with overall backtesting engine?

  2. TraDaToR

    TraDaToR

I use TS 8.2 on a daily basis. It's my preferred software but lacks portfolio testing.

I've used AmiBroker in the past for portfolio and it's great. It took me long to understand how futures, stocks backtesting options worked and the need to use"optimize" in code( instead of command ) is boring.

I don't like wealthLab. Great looking but endless bugs and horrible language.

There are other software that looks great( as i heard ) : TraderStudio, Smartquant and more pro ones.
