I'm having trouble setting the parameters in ts 2000i to backtest. What inputs do i put in so it will calculate that .0300 for example means 300 pips * lots assigned.

  2. Older software are not designed to take that many decimal places.

Try export the data, multiply that by 100, or even a 1000, then import it back.

You can then work with the data.

TS 2000i can do forex. Here are the settings I use.

You can change the point value to equal whatever lot size you use, so if you trade minis then change it to 10000 or whatever.

You will also need to change the decimal settings in the View->Chart Options menu so that the optimization report will show the proper number of decimals.

  6. If you still can't get it right, you can also post at the forum of esignal to get the correct settings.
I knbow TS can do all you need and has all the necessary options to trade forex; i did it till 1995 on a TS2000.

I got it to work correctly.

I don't use "automated entry" so as long as i can get data for ts 2000i i'll use it forever.
