I am looking for a software that is able to go in the past with is chart with 5min bar. I would like to go 1 years or more in the past. I have try esignal, incrediblechart, tradestation, Sterling, Amibroker and there is no of them that can do it. The best was esignal that can go 120 days in the past! Some of them can go like couples of years in the past but with hours bar or day bar but not with 5min bar. I hope someone of you guy's have some info for me!Thx. Julien
I can only speak for Amibroker, but the issue is not that it can't do it - it is likely the data source. Find a data source that provides 5m of data for a year, and I'd beat that at least AB can do it.
I am using Amibroker with DTN IQFeed and I backtest 5 min charts with 1 year and 9 months data with no problems
