âAre risk-preferences dynamic? Within-subject variation in risk-taking as a function of background musicâ (M.Halko,M.Kaustia) - perhaps worth reading.. Listening to your favorite music (with the assumption that it improves our mood) seems to increase the appetite for risk and overestimates the perceived chances of winning without an adequate appreciation of the consequent risk of loss..Think about it before you turn anything on while trading
A little something to get the blood flowing to the ole brain (liked it ever since a member here shared) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WM1RChZk1EU Trade each well - then - on to the.... Happy Friday RN
Here's another song about trading: The Foreign Exchange, Something In The Way She Moves. (But the George Harrison or Elvis Prestley versions sound better to me) "Something in the way she moves... She always seems to make me change my mind..." LOL That cracked me up. That bitch of the eurodollar! - ras72
no electricity tonight...just a candle behind this wine glass. pic taken by me and posted w\o any alteration. i just like how it's all perfectly aligned
Seems youtube took down what I had. I have switched to this in either classical or war, as often times trading is war within ourselves. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCmgUDSlAyA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gz3Cc7wlfkI
Doubtless several traders have learned that many of the problems experienced while trading are due to internal mind "noise". Our minds are limited far more that we think (pun intended) and it is hard for most to do multiple tasks simultaneously. Several years ago I learned that playing any music which requires some attention to listen to will improve my trading results and my working results. Now, I no longer need music to trade well, but shut off the noise directly. (Eckhart Tolle) This experience is useful in most things I have done to improve them. Another term for this is flow. Trading well involves staying in flow once the knowledge part is well understood IMO.
great thread, when the trade is on there's not much to do but sit tight.. imo among the best ambient albums ever produced : Cluster & Eno (Full Album 1977) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02v6Ye6pa8w
