Unless the market has already moved in your favor in a big way and you are celebrating, listening to any type of music while trading (even classical music) can only add more confusion and will make you lose your focus.
The best song ever about trading is Eye In The Sky. It includes some extremely advanced concepts. You listen to it and can't help thinking how in his time the guy must have swinged quite a line in the markets. At least once a day you should listen to the Kansas City Shuffle to remind yourself what the game is about. While watching the markets I sometimes go for the classics of easy listening such as Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Metallica, Black Sabbath... At other times it's progressive, trance, underground. At least thirty minutes before a significant price turn you should go in silent mode. If you have problems overtrading or taking profits too soon try Frankie Goes to Hollywood; Relax Don't Do It. - ras72
i guess that depends on your 'style' and\or mental capabilities. if you are automated or semi automated there is really nothing to focus on thru the day.
