  1. Politics means you're pandering to the lowest common denominator, with the tea party you're dividing by zero.

The price is set by global demand and global supply. Going all out on increasing domestic oil production would help with our trade deficit but would have very little effect on the price, because it wouldn't change global supply very much. We pumped up most of our accessible oil long ago.

We should support her and this idea. What's the worse that could happen?

What do you think would happen the first month gas hit $2?

Our country was built on the production and consumption of automobiles.

    Quote from Tsing Tao:

End the Fed, focus on a strong dollar (really), end speculation on energy futures

    All quite terrible ideas.

not exactly. the US survived quite nicely before the creation of the Fed. all central banks with the possible exception of the bundesbankare engines of inflation because they are subject to political pressure.

I am still wondering why gas near me is still over $4.00 a gallon after oil has fallen $20+ a barrel, WTF!!!!!

After today's sell off in oil I'm hoping I get to fill up at $3.99 a gallon by tomorrow morning....

Oh wait they only raise the prices of gas over night when its soaring, but when its collapsing they wait a few weeks to drop it a few pennies!
