@Sig It's all speculation, but one could consider whether Japan's move to automation/robotics could significantly change Japan's situation as per your trend.

  3. Google is following me on these forums, this popped up in recommended:

He says $1K/month/person over 18. The math says ~250 million people over 18 (https://www.census.gov/prod/cen2010/briefs/c2010br-03.pdf)

Edit: he is proposing this because of reduction in dependence on labor in the economy, i..e, what got Trump elected. My understanding is that Trump's base normally has more dependence on government "assistance".

That works out to $2,880,000,000,000.00 per year. That's about 3 trillion/year. You cannot tax yourself to 15% of GDP on top of the existing ~25%. So the only way this would work is through money printing. This is the only kind of money printing I actually support. The Federal reserve would not support this because it removes power from their hands.

A SOVEREIGN CRYPTO CURRENCY HAS VERY LITTLE ADMIN COSTS.

So what would end up happening is people would get this AND they'd still get the Fed reserve inflation theft. Worst of both worlds.
