B Rowshan, Unfortunately, I don't have enough spending power right now in my options account to make a decent size position unless I close something else, but I have other stuff open that I don't want to close. If anything, I would be short, maybe 140-130 Bear Put Spreads, maybe 150-160 bearish call spreads or short stock with a 160 long call for protection, but I am not actually doing any as like I said, my account is too full of other positions right now and I don't want to close any of them. my bad u are right it is in the morning. this is what i expect. look at the chart ESRX this is what i expect to happen. i will not short it before the end of today, cause i dont think i need to and i'm affraid but i will watch it in the morning and see if it trades. if it doesnt, when it opens i will be ready. i go on record - as a newbie that it is going short and i am playing it as a trade, lets see how it turns out
A too common misconception. I trade earnings only "after the report." Most times volatility remains for a few days (or more )after earnings. check it out. everybody plays the concept of volatility dropping once report is made. who sold this idea to everyone??
waiting for your post. now, i will give you and all of ET some cool info. i'm sure that if u were following it u would have seen this. i woke up at 4:55 Pacific time and could have bought this at 5am for $148.75. i would be up $6 and no risk. of course as i said already i was gonna short. i know the news came out strong, but still was looking for less of a reaction. of course, i am 100% dead wrong, but it showed me that i could still grab 5% or more if i was to play right, but of course i did not. anyhow. nice job to all that had AZO!!!
