Either you don't know what you're talking about or their testing is obviously not extensive enough. Cops Gone Wild
Police recruits get extensive psychological examination before going on active duty. But, the system isn't perfect. You'll have to look elsewhere for perfection.
ALL recruits, throughout the entire country? You got a link to support that assertion? Or I guess we could just conclude the highly touted background check is just a bunch of hooey.
I'm guessing that the people that apply the tests can't be held accountable for their mistakes. Psychopaths regularly fool psychologists. They fake their personality from very early childhood, they are the best actors and manipulators. I watch a few of them regularly, they do atrocious things, people take them to court expecting justice to prevail and they lose! The psychopaths lie, they all have some close friend that will go to court and testify in their behalf and the judges aren't smart enough to sort it all out. For a psychopath to get the power of the badge is like winning the psychological lottery. They can steal and murder all they want. Giving psychopaths the same privileges and rights as everybody else until they are caught in a crime is very self destructive behavior for this culture. We have brain scan tests that are 100% accurate. We should tag them very early in their lives before they kill all the pets in their neighborhoods, set fires, kill people, rape.. it's what they do and they get away with it, some their entire lives. One guy did between 100 and 200 murders before he was stopped and his whole police record had two misdemeanors on it!!
Lot of cops, especially these days, "go wild" after all the background checks are over and they have been in their uniform for a few years. The victim here is going to soon be a very wealthy man. Be careful out there, brothers. There's lots of crooks totin' a badge these days. But, don't discount all of them. Check his demeanor before you make your decision as to what type you might be dealing with. An ego is a difficult thing for most folks to control.
As a side note to this thread. Drive thru one our many (illegal) inland border patrol checkpoints. Some of those little creatures are out of control. The average person is irresponsible with authority. Lots of "problem children" in uniform out there.
Obviously I know more about this than you do that's why I posted. You guessed that there isn't any testing I informed you that there is. Call your nearest city police department and ask them. I've had two men who worked for me who became police officers and have been called and I was interviewed about the then applicants. And from what I've been told by a friend on the department this is common practice with all departments nowadays. You're free to check up and I'd be interested to hear about police departments of much size who don't test and interview.
Then why are so many cops acting like psycho thugs IF they're being "extensively" tested before hand? Mr. "I know more about this than you do".
