Hmm, I thought liberals were about peace and love and openess. I thought they didn't judge others. I thought they were about artistic expression over oppression? Hmm, I'll have to ask Zzz and have him clarify for me. I'm very confused. :D

Believe it or not, many enjoy the long ride down the poverty scale. Most my poor friends get drunk, get high, and sit around and do nothing all day. And they seem to love it! My rich friends work 80 hours a week, never see their friends, never have fun, and live under incredible amounts of stress and pressure.

Ahh, the poetic irony of it all. :D

Bastards! Living on the backs of the poor. Of course, they pay taxes, and the poor get tax credits and welfare and foodstamps and aid to dependent children and housing support and what not, but still! How dare they flaught their wealth!

What? No Ricter? It's been several minutes, I hope he has not suffered a brain rupture from having to think for a moment.

Ahh well, I'm sure his buddy Doggie Doo will be right . . . errr . . . behind him. One can always tell what a strong leader one is by the number of hounds from the other side baying behind him. Why, just look at the whiners on this thread for example.

The funny thing is I'm trying to figure out a post about how I agree with you about famlies being socialist in the other thread, but every version I write is wrong, darn it.

  9. just done reading Atlas Shrugged centennial edition... extraordinary long & wordy work of touching naivete... its amusing how her heroes and herself are so obviously driven by blinding passion & faith in their simplistic creed and hierarchy of values, and not by the mere and limited tools of reason nor purpose in fact, and yet fail to recognize that fact... and its ultimate consequences... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....... :p :p :p

in terms of inspiration and evocative power, its no match for Norman Spinrad's "Iron Dream" for instance http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norman_Spinrad nor for any works from Nietzche etc...

but she definitely has the 'white american dream' covered :D
