Haven't had the opportunity to post trades in a while but I feel as if I need some critiquing. From now on I will post trades as necessary.

    1. Long 1095.00 @ 10:30 EST Stopped 1093.75 @ 10:36 EST Stop: 1094.50 Target: unknown P/L: - 1. 50

    2. Decided to reenter off same signal from trade#1 as price never trade through 93.75 on strong volume. However, my target wasn't attainable considering possible resistance in the Pivot area. Should have taken what the market gave me (all in hindsight)!
    Long 1094.50 @ 10:39 EST Stopped 1094.50 @ 10:57 EST Stop: 1093.25 Target: 1097.50 P/L: + 0

    3. Long 1094.25 @ 11:12 EST Stopped 1093.00 @ 11:20 EST Stop: 1093.00 Target: unknown P/L: - 1.25

    4. Short 1092.75 @ 11:21 EST Cover 1090.00 @ 11:40 EST Stop: 1094.75 Target: 1090.00 P/L: + 2.75

    5. Short 1084.00 @ 14:56 EST Stopped 1085.25 @ 15:04 EST Stop: 1085.25 Target: unknown P/L: -1.25

Excellent day to trade reversals at support & resistance with many buy & sell signals. I'm looking to perfect this particular signal over the next few months.

    1. Long 1097.00 @ 10:01 EST Exit 1098.75 @ 10:12 EST Stop: 1095.75 Target: 1098.75 P/L: + 1.75

    2. Should have reentered after being stopped out.
    Short 1100.50 @ 14:06 EST Stopped 1101.75 @ 14:15 EST Stop: 1101.75 Target: 1098.00 P/L: - 1.25

    3. Long 1095.50 @ 15:27 EST Stopped 1095.75 @ 15:50 EST Stop: 1094.25 Target: 1097.50 P/L: + 0.25

  5. Not using trendlines is great for some.......but the turns can be determined, if the trendlines are proven to work... the last chart short entry was beautiful, you just panicked out because you couldn't identify the turn without trendlines... Sometimes we are so close it hurts...best wishes

    Porgie,

Sorry for the late reply but my time is minimal lately. Trying to enjoy the last of my summer days.

How's your trading going? I've changed a few things since your initial posts but it's always for the best.

You wrote "if the trendlines are proven to work... the last chart short entry was beautiful, you just panicked out because you couldn't identify the turn without trendlines..."

You're referring to this chart on 8/23/04 http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=569664

As to my last SHORT, I was playing a reversal in that area. However, I was stopped out on the advance higher through the HOD. When we failed to stay above the HOD as supply rolled in resulting in the shooting star, I should have reentered Short at 14:19 EST. That's one thing I need to work on too.

You mentioned something about trendlines, please elaborate!

Sometime in mid-September I will attempt to keep up with this journal and solicit feedback as necessary.

    2. I reversed my position after price bounced at support.
    Long 1123.25 @ 10:05 EST Exit 1125.50 @ 10:26 EST Stop: 1121.25 Target: 1125.50

    1. As we traded above Monday’s high (1129.00) I entered Long. Price pushed through previous highs and stalled at R in my R2 area and reversed. Decided to exit as we failed to continue higher.
    Long 1129.00 @ 14:55 EST Exit 1131.75 @ 15:11 EST Stop: 1128.25 Target: 1133.50

Started the day on the wrong foot, seconding guessing myself and not taking signals and missed most of the move.

    1. Tried shorting price as we traded lower but we quickly closed off the low on good volume (failed breakdown). Set a wider Stop than usual but on the 2nd attempt lower I decided to exit.
    Short 1115.50 @ 11:10 EST Exit 1115.50 @ 11:54 EST Stop: 1117.50 Target: below 1114

    2. Long 1114.00 @ 14:18 EST Exit 1115.50 @ 14:39 EST Stop: 1112.75 Target: 1116.75

Another day of getting off to a wrong start, missed opportunity to short as price traded below the PDR (low of 1112). Two days in a row missing this same signal. NO EXCUSE!

    1. Reversed nicely at one of my support zones.
    Long 1110.75 @ 10:04 EST Exit 1112.75 @ 10:18 EST Stop: 1108.75 Target: 1112.75

    2. Was a bit late with entry on the “breakout to a new high off higher low pattern” but was able to manage the trade properly.
    Long 1110.75 @ 14:06 EST Exit 1112.25 @ 14:14 EST Stop: 1109.50 Target: 1112.25
