  2. I've seen Nihaba take out 3-5 ES pts profit on trades so he's definitely not a scalper.

  3. Traderkay,

You would make a great detective.

    I'm guilty as charged.

    I am a scalper...when I last traded NQ...

I took a +1 point profit on a few contracts and then +2.50 on some more contracts for a total of +13.50 in May of 2003 while the trade only lasted about 5mins.

So...that's your definition of a scalper...

to have taken a +1 profit in NQ at one time or another in your trading career.

Hmmm...I guess every trader that trades NQ are all scalpers.

    Trick or treat

  5. Hi Awash.

Have you not had any trades in the past couple of sessions ?

I think you said that you were going live and would only post the live one (non-simulator-trades), of which they may be not too frequent ???

    Tradersaavy,

I don't trade on Friday's. Today I was highly selective with all my trades even in the simulator (2 paper trades only). This market just wasn't conducive for the best buy & sell divergence signals. Early on a good long signal develop but I avoided it because of the ISM data at 10am.

You're right, from now on all trades you see in my journal will be live. Since I've gone live I'm trying to pick the best signals, no more haphazard entries. I'm more selective with my entries and I'm strictly following my rules. I guess when there's real capital on the line the room for error is much smaller.

My goal is 3 roundtrip trades per day off textbook signals. Hopefully tomorrow will be a good day with a lot of movement.

Good day for trading but I didn’t make the best of each signal that formed. I missed some good entries in the afternoon because of my internal emotions about live trading. I don’t know what’s my problem but I’m setting a goal over the next 3 weeks to start slowly so I can get my comfort level up. I will not set any daily profit target goals. I actually don’t want to make money now; but rather just focus on entering on the signal and exiting without my emotions taking control. This is definitely more difficult than I thought!!!!

Trade#1 – [Short 1054.75 10:24 EST & Cover 1054.00 10:31 EST] [ P/L: + .75 ] Small divergence signal with good entry. Covered prematurely because I was incredibly nervous and it was affecting my decision making. I need to learn to stay calm and focus, but only time will tell.

Trade#2 – [Long 1052.25 12:31 EST & Exit 1052.50 12:38 EST] [ P/L: + .25 ] Single divergence on stochastic coupled with major support area. I couldn’t properly manage this trade and once again my decision making was cloud by my fear.

    Stop trading at 15:15 EST.

Short term goal: Focus on entering and exiting market, free of emotions and indecisiveness

A lot of movement in the price today and I’m getting better with placing trades. I’m satisfied with my trades and hopefully tomorrow I can keep sticking to the system simultaneously learning to stay calm in trades.

Trade#1 – [Short 1052.00 10:02 EST & Cover 1050.00 10:16 EST] [ P/L: + 2 ] Super late entry do to fear but I finally forced myself in and got filled at 1052 (should have entered at 1053.50 on divergence confirmation). Just wanted two points.

    Trade#2 – [Short 1047.75 14:53 EST & Cover 1047.25 15:08 EST] [ P/L: + .50 ] Took mediocre divergence signal but decided to exit after not much follow through.

Short-term goal: Focus on entering and exiting market, free of emotions and indecisiveness.
