So why not help it along and just let the poor, the disabled, the infirm, the elderly die? How much better that would be for everyone.

And who needs all those wounded veterans? They're no good to anybody.

Didn't realize you were unable to read and comprehend what I wrote regarding people who CHOOSE to be unhealthy.

  3. I said please send me the tax penalty so obviously I'm still going to be helping the system. I'm just not going to be getting raped for more. That is my choice. I'm not a heartless bastard I love my fellow man. That being said, there is a great contradiction between survival of the fittest and "being nice" that I have not unlocked all the answers for.

Love you all , sorry if I pissed you off.

Sorry. I didn't realize that all the people I listed were being forced to do what they do. Your caps helped.

you say you love the fellow man, and I claim that I do myself...people take our word for it.

But do we really? as I sat in the Catedral Nacional in Mexico City this weekend I couldn't help but wonder if we really do. Sitting in the church worshiping their respective gods were nice well dress light skinned upper class mexicans who you might mistake for a Spaniard or Italian with a perfect tan.

These people claim they are so religious, but would Jesus really approve of the treatment that the white upper class give to the dark skinned natives of the country?
The upper 10% would rather watch a dark skinned native die of hunger in the rain before they would lift a finger to help. They are praying to jesus the whole time, Jesus would not approve of the treatment in my opinion.

Now lets look at the situation north of the border, we live a much better life when you compare apples to apples. But under the hood when you really analyze it, its has most of the same ideas, we are just not as advanced and straight foreword with our hatred for the lower class. As you might have guessed, with the blind venomous hatred of any kind of welfare/healthcare that might be provided free of charge to anyone, that most people here on ET are from the upper class. I myself live a pretty upper class lifestyle compared to the rest of the country too, but I by no means try to identify with the ultra wealthy like most here do.

I believe it is the act of wanting to identify with the upper class that creates this hatred of the poor sloth who now we must pay for their health care. I mean, wouldn't the world be better if all of the poor people would just walk into a Nazi underground shower and never come back? even if its your cousin, just because he or she happens to make less money then us?

The people I consider rich are not your local Dean at the university, hes a tool, he makes a few hundred thousand a year at a big school. I consider people like Bill Ackman rich, he makes a few hundred thousand every time HLF ticks down. Now why does a Dean at a university think that whats good for the poor is not good for him? People who run the world at Goldman Sachs are laughing a some punk Dean who makes 200k a year (before taxes) who thinks he is in the upper class.
He is the kind of tool that is being fed propaganda to let the politicians keep their agenda going.

Even though I do live a upper middle class life, I can't stand the attitudes of the people in my income range that actually think obama is helping the poor too much. That is laughable, if anything,...he is helping the rich insurance companies get more revenue. Its their turn, the last bubble was to help the mortgage companies, Banks, and defense companies. (banks get helped all the time though).

Someone has a link to a hospital in Oklahoma who does medical procedures for quite less then the normal hospitals. If medical prices were capped at certain prices, this insurance/healthcare scam would be here in the first place. But then again, some doctors would not be able to spend a 6 week vacation at the montauk Yacht Club paying 500 a night for july and august. If prices were controlled, then insurance companies would not be charging families 1k per month in premiums, and then charging a deductible on top of that! its outrageous. At the CMI hospital in Matamoros Mexico http://www.cmi-matamoros.com/news1b.html
a MRI is $99 dollars, why is it $2500 when billed to my insurance?

The system is made like this intentionally, and the people that profit from it are not interested in changing it too much.

    No Shit.

Now the problem is people like you thinking that ObamaCare could be the answer. Talk about getting fed... hook, line and sinker.

BTW, you actually said 'free of charge.' Free huh?

If the government stayed completely out of health care, then health care cost would drop dramatically. We're in the mess we're in today because of government involvement, and then the answer is always more government involvement. After Obama care implodes, once again the answer will be even more government involvement.
