Average American family "can't pay their bills"

I’m a retired physicist, not able to slug it out with you sharp traders, but here is an interest approximate fact about a $400/ month electric bill:

Assume n 100W bulbs burning 10 hours/ day 30days per month. That is n times 30KwH, which at $0.10/ KwH is 3n dollars monthly. So that must be some house if needs the equivalent of 400/3 =133 light bulbs on all night. More than a dozen in each room if a 10 room house! Thus, I bet it is mainly electric heat, not lights, if true.

 

The article's full of people in the housing industry. Does this mean that everyone else's just fine and dandy? haha

All you need to break the $400 light bill is a small pool.

 

How come no one else caught on to this? Five children??? This country is overpopulated as it is . . . and there are people out there having children that they can't afford. They're just perpetuating the problem.
