Does anyone know why some stocks have options while others don't? For example I recently tried selling a covered call on Aceto (sym: ACET). I was denied the right, with my broker telling me that it just wasn't available, he didn't know why; do any of you?
because it is not available (not all stocks are optionable).Want my advice, stay away from writing options on single stocks unless you are very experienced and/or very diversified and/or holding the stock.
RFT I see you all over ET giving lots of advice, that's great. Just wondering how long you have been a professional trade ie made your living from trading? How much did you grow your account by last year?
Think of it more as a blessing if the stock is thinly traded. Nothing like trading an option thats only traded on two exchanges... My fault for not noticing how illiquid it was though..
