My favorite season. Too bad these colors this vibrant only last for about a week. To hike in this. To take long drives in it. To go on a picnic. To take a quiet boat down the river in it...

  2. Fa get a bot New Yawk. Couldn't you find the same thing at a forest preserve in the Chicago-area, southeast Wisconsin or Southwest Michigan?

In Michigan yes. Wisconsin, maybe. But imo the most amazing fall colors are out east.

    ....Pennsylvania? :)

But Nitro is probably right, the best autumn foliage is in the East, just not that far East...

  5. Beer tastes best in the fall. Cool dry air, sun is just right. Fewer bugs. Smell of leaves burning. Of course the colors, different flowers bloom in the fall. Monarchs heading south.

ps Michigan is too flat. Need a few moutains to do the colors justice.

You forgot campfire and sticking marshmallows in the crackling fire. Otherwise you paint an accurate picture, all senses engaged in an orgy of beauty.
