Your results seem to suggest that you _should_ focus full time. Unless you are making so much money at your job and love it a lot.
The leverage on the full mini vs mico equities is exactly the same, just with a 10x multiplier. So your 56 Micro contracts carries more leverage than 5 mini contracts. Leverage, performance bond, etc, everything is all the same, just multiplied. As mentioned, you will save a lot on commish if you stick with minis, since you said you do not add.
yo sold 50 mnq at a loss? how is this an autotrading? my definition is bot trading is autotrading, since i am not an computer guy, i need screen time to manually trade.
I apologize to everyone. I deviated from the plan. The 56 shares was not the bot autotrading. But autotrading is back in full gear now! I think I have another new years resolution…
If we get a nice close, I should be able to bank a nice profit. Shut down the MES strat for now. Took a 31K loss. Now trying to revenge trade myself to financial freedom.
Out of curiosity, can you post a chart with your entries? I see the average entry price is 15,681, which is right around the price of the open. Did you start higher up and just scaled in as it went lower after the open? Of were you expecting a bounce today and hence started scaling in as it was dropping from the open? I gotta compliment you on having the balls to carry such a position. Whenever I trade SIM, I can always be profitable by adding heavily as the position goes against me, or switching sides sometimes, and then adding heavily again. But what starts out as a 1 contract position turns into 40 or 50 contracts like what you have now. I could of course never trade like this live, but its so freeing to not care about micro movements and just add heavily when you think you got the direction right.
You either do, or do not. Vacillating between the two is not following a plan, it is following the seat of your pants. That can lead to trouble. In my view, you should hook up with @volpri because you have the type of capital I feel is safe to do what you are doing, and with his guidance, he may be able to help you hone your averaging skills.
