I don't know why you are talking up IB's new technology so much, and they're offering a guarantee that if you don't get the fills they'll give it to you.

CyberTrader has been doing that for the past 6 months. Way before IB, offering spreads for a single commission. Plus it's much easier to use, and they're customer support is the best in the industry.

If you're from Canada you can use this platform from Questrade, which carries the Cyber platform. IB has not developed anything that other companies haven't already been offering for a while. Don't make it sound like they're the originators of smart trading.

  2. You'l notice that so many threads on here are about IB platform alleged "problems". Either way, I do not see the samefor the CyberTrader platforms. I have used Cyber for over 1 year and it has never let me down.

CT and all the rest are nothing more than gnats buzzing around IB IMHO. The others are "hobby" brokers.

IB is, hands down, the leader in low cost retail brokerage. They are the biggest and the best. Nothing else comes close to their markets, their costs, their technology, their innovation, their execution, etc.

The others are in a constant "catch-up" mode with IB. Why not just go with the best? It has been, and most likely will remain, IB. Case closed.

Is there any plans for building an autospreader for stock pairs in IB? (I know it is available for futures pair.)

I assume there are many pair traders out there for stocks like myself.
