So why are you here? If you had bothered reading any of the interviews or even my post in this thread: It is evident that many in the competition build strategies specifically for the competition and would never consider using them with real money because of the risk they take. In other words they design these bots to win the competition. The sponsor uses the competition as a marketing tool. Why is that such a problem for you? Move along! I for one appreciate reading the interviews.

That "sponsor" forgot to pay this website, thus became a spammer here, you know, by definition... But if it doesn't bother Baron, I am fine with it. So basicly, your excuse line is that these systems are not intended to be anything close to reality, just like silly commercials on TV and we should take everything at face value. Did I get it right??? Why not use decent systems for good PR? I understand, because they are hard to find... And one more point. The more posts are in this thread, the more people see it, thus more people hear about the "sponsor's" website. So in a way, I add value for the OP... Just think about that... I have a master degree in communication engineering and a major in signal and information processing. I live in Shanghai. Now, I am working in a mobile communication corporation. Interview with Sergey Pankratyev (s75) Speaking about the risks, if your Expert Advisor had traded with twice as large volume, would it have come first or would not have survived till the competition end? The greater the risk, the greater the likelihood of both rises and falls. My objective is not to fly too high but to test another version of my trading robot. I have taken the most acceptable risks (according to the test results). It is believed that a good strategy must be simple. But don't you think that your strategy is too simple to be true? Well, let those who think it to be simple develop something similar and try to receive better results. Oh no, Alonso lost! And to an even shittier system than his! I am going to cry... Well, let me explain. Alonso's equity curve finished after 51 trades lower where it was at trade #8. So basicly he could have stopped at week #3 and still made second place....In plain English he didn't make any money for 9 weeks. That's why he lost by less than $150, in % that is very, very little. (too lazy to figure it out)* But who is this genius who has just won? Well, his equity curve is outrageous. After 160 trades it was -13% down. Now what can we say about such a system??? That it is donkey crap? But hey, at least after 320 trades it was up 50% and I assume he must have tinkered with the program (I thought that was against the rules), because it had an unbelievable rally and took over Alonso... Now a really honest congrats to Sergey (s75) whose system had a beautiful straight line up, and should have won the competition. He made 250% with 100 trades... What did we learn here guys? Well, probably not much, but I sure enjoyed the competition. See you next year! *Alright, about 0.3%
Interview with Alexey Masterov (reinhard) We do our best to introduce all the leading Championship Participants to our audience in reasonable time. To achieve that, we closely monitor the most promising contestants in our TOP-10 and arrange interviews with them. However, the sharp rise of Alexey Masterov (reinhard) up to the third place has become a real surprise! Alexey, your Expert Advisor burst into TOP-10 during the last week. What position did it occupy before that? It came 11th during the twelfth week. My Expert Advisor did not show any impressive results during the first two months. It fell down to 300th position and even lower. Frankly, there were no reasons to be too optimistic at the time. But the hope remained, of course. The final third place must have taken you aback. It is the first time in the Championship's history that the Participant enters TOP-3 so unexpectedly. Yes, it came as a surprise for me. Although I believed that my Expert Advisor is a promising one, the circumstances could have been unfavorable preventing my trading robot from showing its power. My Expert Advisor is designed for trends and the market was favorable to it during the last two weeks, especially when the traded symbol opened with a gap after December 25.
