We are glad to announce that the Automated Trading Championship will be conducted this year - in 2010. The main purpose of the competition is promoting the idea of the automated trading and the new development environment MetaQuotes Language 5 (MQL5). The total prize of the Automated Trading Championship 2010 is 80,000 US dollars.

We always do our best to conduct the Automated Trading Championship on the highest level. This year we keep on preparing the most interesting Championship for you. On the official website of the ATC, we will publish details of all its Participants. Anyone can visit this website to watch trading dynamics of any Expert Advisor and its characteristics. We will also publish weekly statistical reports, interviews with Participants and useful articles. These materials are intended to show the full information on performance of automated trading systems and help traders to develop profitable Expert Advisors.

As distinct from previous competitions, MQL5-programs will participate in Championship 2010. "This year we are going to release the new MetaTrader 5 Platform with the new Expert Advisor development environment - MQL5. That's why we decided to conduct the new competition among Expert Advisors written in MQL5." - Stanislav Starikov, the senior developer of the MetaTrader 5 client terminal and the MQL5 environment, said.

For the three years of the competition conduction, the Championship has become extremely popular being a specialized site where developers from all over the world can demonstrate their programs. Many EA writers use the Championship as a chance to show their programs and advertise their services. We invite you to take part in the Automated Trading Championship 2010 and prove that you know how to develop profitable Expert Advisors.

Do the entrants need to show their source code if they win?

Of course, no. You dont even need to send us source code files (MQ5). Instead of this you may send already compiled EX5.

The whole security system is made in the following way: two man in our company have access to the participants Expert Advisors to be able to check them before ATC. During the competition - only one man have access to EAs. After the ATC finish all the experts will be deleted immediately. Such scheme was used for three years of ATCs and the participants` EAs were always protected.

PS: we dont need someones EAs. Our main and the only goal is to promote Automated Trading and MQL5 IDE.

For now the Rules of this-year Championship is not finished yet. But you may use the Rules of ATC 2008 (http://championship.mql4.com/2008/rules) as a base. But keep in mind, that the Rules of upcoming Championship will be harder.

MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester Released (http://www.mql5.com/en/forum/851)!

"The Strategy Tester is the last component from the set of required tools for efficient development of Expert Advisors. This set also includes the MQL5, MetaEditor, debugger and execution module in the MetaTrader 5 Client Terminal. The absence of a tester was the last obstacle to the wide possibilities provided by the MQL5 environment. We hope that together with the release of MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester, the number of new MQL5 Expert Advisors will sharply increase", - Stanislav Starikov, the senior developer of MetaTrader 4/5 terminals and MQL4/5, said.

As you may know, the Automated Trading Championship 2010 will be conducted soon. Currently preparations are underway for the upcoming contest.

However, this year the Championship is conducted only for MQL5 Expert Advisors written for the new MetaTrader 5 terminal. Probably, some of the developers didn't have enough time to acquaint themselves with the new terminal, its trading system and the MQL5 development environment. Therefore, this year we decided to extend the registration period for the participants of the Automated Trading Championship 2010.

Registration of participants will start on the 1st of June, not July. On this day, we will officially launch the Championship website and start the registration. Anyone will be able to participate in the Automated Trading Championship 2010. Simply submit your application, fill out your personal details and send us your Expert Advisor. The registration end date is the same - the 22nd of September.

On the Championship website, we will publish different materials to help all developers to correctly prepare their Expert Advisors and complete registration. Also comments and explanations of the Championship Rules will be published there.

The new MQL5.community website will also be helpful for all those who decided to participate in the contest. We have published the full documentation, about 100 MQL5 programs and dozens of articles on this website. All these publications will assist you in developing Expert Advisors and indicators in MQL5.

Sponsors of the ATC 2010 are: Interbank FX LLC (IBFX), MIG Bank and FXCM (Forex Capital Markets LLC). Media sponsors are the TRADERS' magazine and Dow Jones. The organizer of the Championship is MetaQuotes Software Corp.
