dollar trailing can be set on a per share/contract basis and also position size basis. I find that most strategies that I use, benefit from wide stops. I like to give a trade room to play itself out. Exits I seperate from stops. they mean very different things to me. for one short term system I have no stop and depend on mkt reversal to stop me out and start the other side.
