ATTN: Software Experts..Explorer shutting down...

Discussion in 'Trading Software' started by CoralReef, Dec 7, 2005.

  1. Sometimes explorer will shut down and a notepad file will appear on my desktop with the following message....

    An unexpected exception has been detected in native code outside the VM.
    Unexpected Signal : EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION
    Function=Java_sun_awt_windows_WColor_getDefaultColor+0x2E1D
    Library=C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin\awt.dll

    and a bunch of stuff below that message..

    Anybody know what the hell is going on...:confused:

    Thx.

    sound like running out of memory for your java app, right click on my computer , select properties and see how much memory you have.

  3. Are you talking about RAM? I have 1 GB. I right clicked on my comp. and am at the General Tab....

  4. Interesting...looks like thats pretty much what I'm experiencing. So, I need to update JAVA?

  5. Try Firefox.

  6. I always assume that Mr softy trys to make your internet experience a lousy one when using a non-msft browser. Thats my conspiracy theory...:p

  7. OK, I'll give that a shot first before I get fed up and try firefox.

    Thanks for your help.
