40yo, I have to agree. System trading can be boring and having charts on while systems are running can be bad news if you are not totally disciplined. Initially I thought and felt that my discretionary trading was not worth the risk but after thorough statistical analisys of the trade history and the introduction of some resultant rules, it has been a very profitable venture. Moreover, it has shown very low correlation with my automated systems which trade in the afternoon. I am really enjoying the combination of fun trading in the morning and the smother curve that the combination of discretionary and systematic trading has yielded. Best regards, Alex
