So let's start with TraderZones, Lucrum and Rennick. Other traders please post the link(s) to your "thread/s" Rennick: I read your ongoing thread in the trading section. Couldn't find a single number in it - zippo - do you have any other thread where you've called specific trades? Yeah there were frequent disruptive arguments, not your fault, but it wasn't easy to see what your profit/loss was - wish you made a bundle, man. Thanks.
If you have time, baron, take a quick look at my defunct forex thread for Ivan's one-liner response to a question - priceless and that was where the "honesty" factor started. So there is precedence! And it could still be him who'll ban me!!!!
Many thanks for your generosity in helping me isolate the worthwhile "experienced" traders to emulate and learn from at ET. ------------------------------- current # of "experienced" traders found: ONE. Name: Ivan
Eliminated: lescor reason: a total loser = newbie killer, therefore a newbie time waster and wheel spinner. further info: opening statement flashes red lights on so many levels, its astounding that the thread has gone so far. In 2nd para, see part about the govt. -- trading has zippo to do with the govt., the only thing important/relevant is the price chart. "My journal will be light on specifics of what or how I trade" "but donât be offended if I donât answer your question about âwhat time and price did you enter this stock and why did you exitâ? re: last 2 paras of opening post: NO successful man would post such nonsense. --------------------------------------------------- see next post for GENERAL reason why we are dealing with a fusillade of vapid losers at ET.
The gross outpoint at ET re: baron's so-called "experienced" traders ....................... That experienced traders return HOME to STAY. Akin to engineers/MBAs et al returning to their respective Universities from Industry aka The Field to STAY = take up a teaching post. Only LOSERS come back to Mama and Papa. What is normal is that these "experienced" are just visiting and its usually a party of some sort - they are generally very helpful, quite willing to share experience garnered in the Field with pointers, sugestions and advice. They've been there, done that. They know the hardships involved. They visit for a few days, then go back to THE GAME aka The FIELD. Therefore all poy-manent returnees to ET are total losers, by definition. Not because they visit with ET, rather because they visit and then STAY and rack up huge post numbers. Total losers! Exception (s): Ivan and the mods. They are volunteers (AFAIK). IMHO any volunteer is H&S above the rest of us money-hungry pricks.
as an aside observe the verve, the tactics of the tribes that dine on newbies and have done so since antediluvian times http://www.elliottwave.com/freeupdates/archives/2010/03/16/First-Time-in-40-Years.aspx http://www.metastock.com/company/pr...dium=email&utm_campaign=Monitor02_view_online thousands of thousands (they call them millions) more newbies rush to be barbecued alive.
continuing with "who are these so-called experienced traders who've come full circle and as a newbie am I going to learn a damn thing from any of them?" I'd just like to take a slight detour and paste TraderZones' post from my thread - his post is on page 8 in this thread ... http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=182591 "the "supportive" people generally do not know how to trade, and freely offer advice that is useless . Many of the serious traders fled this site. One's "inflammatory" is another's criticism of fluff and trash. A lot more critical commentary and a lot less could save a lot of trader wannabes years of wandering and frustration. This and other trading sites brim with beliefs and opinions, as opposed to hard evidence and statistical proof. The main reason newbies lose (and join the 95+% thought to lose their money), is that a freight train worth of useless books, ideas, systems, paper traders and others keeps pumping through the system. The first thing a serious trader needs to do, is filter out the overwhelming majority that is muck. Before they will ever get near things that might have use and interest"
See the last sentence? ... "The first thing a serious trader needs to do, is filter out the overwhelming majority that is muck. Before they will ever get near things that might have use and interest" I want to apply this very same principle to not just materials, books, seminars and other stuff - rather, I'm applying it to EXPERIENCED TRADERS directly. i.e. weed out the muck and then what's left is/are THE EXP. TRADERS - the key concept here being that "exp" = decently profitable to outrageously profitable. Then I only study THEM. So far I have just one "exp" TRADER - Ivanovich. --- to be continued --- Note: no disrespect is intended by the use of the word, "muck"
buy1sell2, neke ...................... eliminated neke: thread title is itself so provocative that newbies would abandon all caution and flock to this gang rape en masse. Total garbage, what a waste. buy1sell2: read the opener, see date, then go to last post, see date - he's here at ET for life. Another loser with no life - a guaranteed paper trader. Thread views is in the millions. Rarely puts out any analysis. The participants in the thread are ALL obvious losers who've got nowhere else to go. Fckin disgusting state of affairs
The entire JOURNALS forum should be drop-kicked into oblivion. Its infested with children playing video games. Do the parents know what these kids are up to? Or worse, if their daddies are walking them to school, its because pops is in the same grade. The JOURNALS forum is a profligate time and resource waster, a newbie killer of significance due to the thread view #'s roping-in power. Bottomline: total garbage!
