  1. No worries, keep it here (if you want) as it's essentially a catch-all thread for vol-punting. I update with "performance to date" so it's easily searchable for the journal-accounting trades.

  2. I still think we'll get to 36-37 on AAPL spot this week, at which point I will off the calendar.

  3. The 15/25/35/45 Oct condor looks ok at 3.50 risk. I have it small (500) in a F&F account.

  4. Figuring I should take some sort of profit on the put side already. 1.675 as I write this. Whaddaya think? I figure maybe sell a put to partially take some value off the table, a 15 or 14. Or am I then defeating the whole purpose of this trade? Been debating that in my head myself.

  5. Looking for 15.10 cash, 17.00 on Nov. Covered half already at a gain of 0.30. I wouldn't sit on short call spreads, tho. I know what you mean as if the var drops so will the puts as the vol of vol won't exceed the convergence, but the calls will drop to compensate. That's why I'm in the R/R. Keep it as a pkg if possible. I am in/out of 50 positions a day, so it's in my blood to go for hit-rate.

  7. Thanks, it's up 40 cents now. I'd think we'd have to hit a gain of 50 by the close.

  8. Out of the calendar at 16.60 (journal trade, 16.72 mid) and into the 15/25/35/45 condor (short gamma) at 3.75 risk. All in.

I'm out of the calendars as well. 05/30/55 fly now at 11.00 mid (in at 8.75). Neutral to around 632.50 on aggregate positions. I like that condor also.
