Well sometimes you have to do that unless you plan to enter and cancel an order 50 times hoping that his Majesty will look favorably on the scum and bless them by giving them a morsel

I have found that on some liquid nyse stocks, if you exclude NYSE on IB smart you get filled much quicker??? Go figure

  2. yeah, all day went trough arca and had almost immediate fills....it's not always the case tho, especially when u want short cuz there's obviously a lot of competition since nyse cunts dont want u there...uptick crap me thinks.

LMAO Obviously you are a fundamental trader.

If you try to buy a gap down like this your order will be filled before you hit transmit. Actually your fingers will be sucked into the keyboard by the specialist. remember NYSE = We always fill your orders immediately (As long as they are on the wrong side of the action; We will consider filling the others after lunch......... lunch on thursday that is

  6. yeah, the speed of execution if u are on the wrong side is even faster then on ecns...i think they got an automated fillin' system for losin' orders.

on a note this stuff can be used in our favor...u practically know before hand if u right or wrong and every time u dont get a fill u can ten-fold your size and hit/lift ecns, while get out immediately when u are in with no problems; i've been a touch naive not to do that but from now on that'll be it.

  7. You know whats really funny.

When these gap down, theres a bunch of clowns that tell you the spec is robbing the sellers and they buy the gap and sell at a profit on the bounce.

When they keep falling theres a bunch of clowns that tell you only suckers bought the gap.

    LMAO.

You know this thread got me to thinking. I sometimes wonder if the specialist is NOT gapping a stock like ADI down as much as he could, due to all the traders playing the Open. If you know they're a lot of sells, wouldn't it make more sense to gap it down some, then flash some bids .20-.40 lower to scare all the traders that bought the open and panic them out, pick up more shares on the cheap for a quick upturn.

  9. it's done often, some crap has gapped 40% or more and kept tumblin' hard at open only to rebound strong and get out from valhalla for good.
