Whatever philosophy you live by (and every other) has many current (and former) disciples who did not (and do not) live by the principles that the founder advocates. Sometimes the followers stray from the principles, sometimes they misinterpret, sometimes they are weak, etc. Often, even the founder or main advocate even fails, but that does not vitiate the validity of the philosophy. I think Ayn Rand was brilliant.......she was a disciple of Arisitotle who has a few fans. Stosh

  2. that's just utter bullshit

there was basically NOBODY ELSE in ayn rand's group that wrote about specific economic policy - NOBODY!!!!

a lot of communists say the same thing about trotsy vs karl marx, that marxism works, and trotsky ' strayed from the principles, misinterpreted, was morally weak, etc'

many founding neocons, such as PNAC founder william kristols father Irving, were actually trotskyites

what do karl marx, trotsky, ayn rand, greenspan, william/Irving kristol all have in common? They're all fucking jews!

  4. The problem with Allan was that he allowed his ego to drive his beliefs instead of his common sense.

It didn't matter whether he followed Ayn or a number 9 bus, he is responsible for his considerable share of the current mess.

Exactly. That is why we need to give up thinking that brilliant human beings are capable of manipulating the money supply so that we avoid the ups and downs of the business cycle which are inherent to free markets.......just let the money supply expand a consistent % each year based on GDP, pop. growth, whatever so that businesses can plan for it. The Fed does not have a good record......nor does central planning in general. Stosh

  7. he's also open borders, if you can get his actual position out of his mouth with a crowbar (as terry anderson did on the terry anderson show) - Ron Paul may be against illegal immigration, but he's still pro guest worker

You guys should get a reality check. Read Naomi Klein's book The Shock Doctrine

You will see that government and elected officials, always, and everywhere, work hand in hand with private enterprises to skim everyone else and especially the tax payers - the big fat cow, free to be raped by the capitalist pigs with the loving supervision of the political hogs. It's been going on since the dawn of democracy. Keep on debating...

He has an 80% lifetime rating from the Council for Citizens Against Goverment Waste, which compares very favorably to the vast majority of Congressmen.

Your average Democrat has around a 20% rating.
