There is a free VectorVest seminar comming up in Atlanta. I don't know if there is a VectorVest group in the area or not though. I went to a few VectorVest meetings in Denver however and was actually pretty impressed with the little product and the way that people were using it. While not applicable to the scalp type trading that a lot of us do, on a longer term time frame the idea of combining fundamentals with technical buy and sell points certainly has merit for improving one's chances of being right. If anyone has experiences with the software and methods and is reading this please post your thoughts. I'm going to attend the session and give the software the once over myself. Cheers. The Atlanta MTA will meet tomorrow evening Thursday, October 23. Sandwiches and beverages will be at 5:30pm on the Terrace level (if you want to pick up the sandwich, I'd really appreciate, so let me know). I have a CD-ROM of Richard Saidenberg's presentation to the NY MTA this past Monday that we will watch starting promptly at 6:00pm on the tenth floor (address is below). Running time is just over an hour and then we will discuss charts afterward. Richard is a mechanical trading systems expert. In his presentation, he focuses on the use of stochastics for market timing. He is a CTA for Soundview Capital Management who has been in the business for 15 years. The presentation quality is excellent and we lose nothing by virtue of the "replay" aspect of it. I am already implementing his recommendations and I think that you will find them to be useful. As an aside, MTA members that have access to this presentation through the website at www.mta.org. See you tomorrow. J.
