I don't trade futures but I am in ATL. The only groups I can find here are the MTA which meets every once in a blue moon as far as I can tell and a group called Atlanta Options Traders which meets in Alphretta. They seem to have a pretty good group. Meanwhile I am on the email list for the Denver Trading group and they have guest speakers all over the place. Here is there agenda for the next four weeks below. It's actually looks slow because of the holidays and the vectorvest indigo stuff is routine, and I really don't have much use for that. They had a speaker on SSF's last week I think. Anyway I post it because if they can get something going in Denver you would think there would be demand here in the financial capital of the south. :eek: Would be nice to get an Atlanta Trading group going here in GA, prehaps the options group would broaden out to include futures, stocks, and other derivatives. Doesn't seem like to much of a stretch. Besides now that they are trying to apply PDT rules to options I bet a lot of the people in that group start trading SSF's. Anyone locate any more traders (equity) in Atlanta? I'm a newbie trading from home and wondered if there were any daytraders in the area - prop or otherwise. Other cities seem to have groups (like daytradersusa) organized where folks can get together and compare notes. If anyone is 1)aware of such a group in the area or 2) would be interested in starting something please let me know. pm would be great.
