You are correct, Sir. California is 12% of the US population, but 13.3% of the US GDP. The fact is...if CA separated, not only would we have all that money we send to the federal government to support everything they currently pay(meaning we would have to use that money on our own army, healthcare, ect) but we would have about another $45 billion per year extra in our pockets every year to pay for other things (like our debt) California is one of the few states that would be self sufficient if all states separated. We would be debt free in less than 10 years with current spending and actually have a surplus after that.
Considering CA overwhelmingly supports the current government and democratic party why would they want to leave
ca has arguably as good a climate as any place in the world because you can pick any climate (unless you desire high humidity and bugs), incredible natural resources...(a big risk for quakes too) and a truly massive economy being destroyed by big govt and massive taxation on those who produce.
When righties engage in fantasy talk about secession they always talk as though a state could defend themselves on their own.If a state like Texas or CA were to secede(again pure fantasy) they would not be able to defend themselves if invaded by another country and would come running back to The US Government to protect them.
our govt does not have the balls to win wars in foreign lands as we have seen in Iran and Afghanistan... you think this same govt could convince the DHS and the army to crush civilians and inflict massive collateral damage on innocent former citizens. actually never mind... you said you would sign up for such a job. maybe you are right the 10% rabid leftists in america probably would sign up to go to war against Californians and Texans.
