....at the moment

  1. I've been hearing this over and over again...for over 2 years now.
Look at this pathetic article on the state of the US job market:

re: "it’s just part of the economic strain the country’s going through at the moment."

Is this "at the moment" ever going to be eliminated ?
Right now, "at the moment" appears to be perpetual.

  2. If we keep a positive tone and we are right, then people will remember that we kept the faith. If we keep a positive tone, and the whole thing goes to shit, everybody will be too busy trying to feed themselves to remember.

If we are negative and we pull through, we will be remembered as a nattering nabob of negativity. If we are negative and the whole thing goes to shit, everybody will be too busy trying to feed themselves to remember.

It's like Pasquale's wager for pundits. No downside to being positive, no upside to being negative.

  3. Opulence

    Opulence

Forget being negative, forget being positive....just tell the damn truth about what's going on. Many of us already know what's up. Its just the public who thinks things are improving. They've let the government trick them into thinking these inflationary numbers are economic growth.
