DIANNE FEINSTEIN: l'm Ready To Introduce An Assault Weapons Ban Bill On The First Day Of Congress
Grace Wyler | 53 minutes ag

U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) said Sunday that she will introduce an assault weapons ban bill on the first day that the new Congress begins this January.

"I'm going to introduce in the Senate, and the same bill will be introduced in the House -- a bill to ban assault weapons," Feinstein said on NBC's "Meet the Press."

Feinstein's statements come just two days after the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., where gunman Adam Lanza reportedly used a Bushmaster .223 assault rifle to murder 26 people, including 20 children.

The bill, Feinstein said, would be a version of a 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban, a bill she co-authored. Congress allowed that ban to lapse in 2004, and another similar bill has not been introduced since.

The press has the story all screwed up. Yesterday they were saying he had two pistols on him and an AR-15 found in his mom's car that he drove to the school.

Then, last night, it was reported that the coroner was saying most were killed with .223 ammo. That would be the AR-15. So, now some news outlets are saying he entered the building carrying the AR-15.

What the truth is, is anybodies guess right now.

This comes as no surprise. Real journalism (honest, unbiased dissemination of facts) in this country died long ago.

  10. I agree it wouldn't be worth restricting high capacity clips. Like you just said it only would of probably saved 8 children's lives. (Sarcasm)
Regardless of how they were killed you're using faulty logic CO.
