Yes, I think most of Obama's economists use Tarot cards to predict the economy. Obama uses them to tell him what to do to create jobs. Oh, I guess that means they don't work too well. Darts! Now there is a predictive system. But the trick is to arrange company names on the wall in a certain order. Then darts are the best for picking stocks. It releases the full predictive power of the omni-knowing subconscious. Don't you agree, Sury?
Watch the video and for the words: scripture, god, religion substitute the word astrology and you will understand how ridiculous this forum is to anyone with an ounce of common sense http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M114bK4qaiM&feature=feedrec_rec-exp_fresh+div-1r-24-HM
Notion of using Astrology in the markets has been used successfully by traders long enough to generate interest and studies by some Universities and the Federal Reserve Lunar Phases and Stock Return http://astrocycle.net/lunar.pdf Solar influx as seen in the Federal Reserve study here, http://astrocycle.net/GeoStorm.pdf http://www.safehaven.com/article/16719/astrology-and-the-markets
There is absolutely no evidence that these correlations are non-random, Sury. For all you know, it could be that there are enough market participants out there believing in full-moon effect to affect the market. The only factor here is belief, not any tangible effect by the moon on the price/traders/markets/etc. As little as 200 years ago, people still believed that the witches gain magical powers during full-moons and lunatics turn into wolves, even the witches and the lunatics believed that, so there's significant reason to believe that people still believe in moon phases and that that's what pushing the markets during moon phase changes. But to be taken a bit seriously, you and your astrological trading cliques will need to prove that the planets have a tangible, independent effect on humans. Because markets don't move by themselves, people move them. So far, there has never been produced any satisfying proof whatsoever to demonstrate that humans are indeed influenced by planets.
The only secret of Gann, as admitted by his own son after his death, is that he made more money from selling his courses, than he made trading using the methods he taught in his courses.
Actually they are random. But market makers can make it appear during certain periods that there is a correlation. When enough retailers show up to take advantage of it they take their shirts. A link was posted already to a study that shows a specific example where the buy new moon - sell full moon method did not work very well for several years.
Whilst I think most of the astro stuff is mumbo jumbo there is plenty of evidence that the moon does have an effect on humans and of course there's a huge amount of evidence that solar activity does. Where I think the astro boys shoot themselves in the foot is just taking the whole thing too far and claiming that certain alignments of distant planets can have significant behavioural effects, which I believe is nonsense.
In my humble opinion; this chart is bullish for GBP from 26-Jan-2011 12:58 GMT to 01-02-2011. GBPUSD Buy. GBPJPY Buy. Stop Loss 40 pip. The use of Stop Loss is always important. Good lock to All. . .
GBPUSD and GBPJPY This fall of today was easily predictable. It is very important to respect the timing. .
