Astrological Theory of Markets Cycles.

Discussion in 'Forex' started by Suryananda, Jan 1, 2011.

  1. Post of mine from almost 2 years ago from the moon thread.

It was that thread that opened my eyes to market timing and various cycles. Astrology was always my favorite (probably because of the huge disdain for it :p ) .

I always enjoyed this quote from JP Morgan. "Millionaires don't use astrology, billionaires do."

80?? How would you like $300?

Been there, done that. I have been through this whole esoteric, astrology bullshit. I used W59, I used Astrotrader, I used all kinds of techniques espoused by W59 and others.

    One word: useless.

    Actually two, expensive and useless.

My trading has never been profitable until I stripped it of all the wonderful "value-added" shit like indicators, astrology, cycles, blah blah blah.

There is NOT ONE trader-astrologer in the world who will ever agree to an independent test to analyze how successful were their predictions, AND what EXACT method they used. That is because none of them will ever want to admit that there is personal discretion involved, and that half of the time their "predictions" would work "IF ONLY" the price turned 30 minutes later or at a different price level. Wipe your ass with it.

Sorry if I come across angry, but for a guy who spent thousands of dollars on this bullshit, I think I have a right to be.

BTW, if anyone wants Wave 59 products, I still have most of them and will sell them at a pretty cheap price for a like-new condition. I only managed to sell the Astrotrader prog. I feel sorry for the poor soul who bought it from me.

  4. People who are ignored:

    davidmaría1
    lurefo
    Gubinec
    Southbeach4me

The next to be ignored I will be myself because I will no longer participate in this forum.

When I have made 12 predictions I will leave this forum.

Now I have 5 predictions. 4 correct and 1 opened.

Since I'm ignored, someone needs to remind Surya that his 5 predictions includes the Dow Jones futures on which he got stopped out. He might know his astrology, but apparently can't tell a loss from "a prediction". Why am I not surprised?

    Sell GBP/USD
    Sell GBP/JPY
    Stop Loss 40 pips.

The use of Stop Loss is very important.

  9. Yep, that's the thing. I don't know about forex, but as for stock markets, more than 50% of volume is done by algos. From the rest of the volume probably only a fraction is based on astrology, so we can't really say it moves the market.

The next thing that worries me as stated a number of times, is we don't know what we are tesing here since OP refuses to tell us more on the tools he uses.

Obviously he doesn't only use the moon cycles to make a decision; there are channels, trendlines, volume, indicators maybe, what else?

So the results - positive or negative- could be only due to his ability to spot reversals on a charts? or to a good volume indicator?

    -------

Since Sury is so sensitive... is there someone not already put on ignore to ask him more details about his method? how much discretion is used, indicators, TA, etc
