Could someone give me a quick rundown of the products they trade or are they an equity only shop?

Just wondering if they do futures, FX, energy-specific, etc...

Also, what are their capital requirements and do they ever hire anyone and provide a base salary and then a % of returns?

    The more detail the better!

  4. they had an office in scottsdale, az and had some top notch traders there. Traders seem to like it. they do not offer training etc but good commisions, leverage and a decent platform (I think they still use Anvil)

Assent does equities and equities options only.

They'll take minimum 5k deposit, 20:1 leverage if you have a series 7 license. S7 only allows you to trade listed, you'll need s55 if you want to trade Nasdaq. They will sponsor you for the licenses if you don't have them. Fees for that depends on the manager/office, some will pick up the tab, some will pass it on to you.

The only negative with them is the 1-year lockup of your deposit.

Overall Assent is one of the best prop shops around. And they don't nickel and dime you to death like some other places.

  8. it is S.E.C. rule 15c3 for the 1 year lock up.

to the other post about training, it is different per branch. Call and find out. The Scottsdale, AZ office didn't offer training. more of keep to your self place with active traders. This office is no longer around.

Again call and ask the right questions.
