Candace Owens already stated she would not take proper precautions if she caught Covid, nor to prevent it-- Covid is nothing more than a little flu to her.
Refusing to give her a test is just being petty.....you want to speak out and respond to her social media or comment publicly go ahead. But acting like a child and saying we will not allow you to get any medical procedures or test here because we dont like your politics is close to a violation of the Hyp Oath (not legally binding I know). If ER doctors have to treat known murderers in their ER, this place can simply give her a test. Candace never said Corona tests were hoaxes... she is obviously going to get one..
Yes, quite so. And even if she had said they were hoaxes, it would make no difference. She went in for a test. If a patient starts ranting in a waiting room or something in a way that is counterproductive for the administration of care to other patients well that would be another matter. It is actually kind of important that these health care facilities get their act together on this because there are/will be LOTS of people coming in for vaccinations and tests reluctantly as a result of work requirements or social or family pressure. If they come in and say "I am here for a test but I think the whole thing is a hoax" give em a test and shut your hole.
So what is Candace going to legally do about it? She has no legal recourse. Any non-emergency medical provider can decline to service anti-vaccine Covid-deniers.
I dont think anyone is saying she has a legal recourse since she can go some where else...we are just saying it is a petty move.
I don't accept it as a given that she wants to do anything about it legally even though this is your second time raising that. The testing facility owner took a cheap shot at her and Candace fired back in a way that has brought stress and bad publicity to the facility, which Candace may find to be satisfying in and of itself. Maybe a picket line outside her facility might be fun too and some more bad publicity. Sounds to me like the business owner caused Candace some grief and Candace very adequately punched back at "Karen." I doubt very much that Karen will be virtue signaling in this manner again anytime soon. But, as to be expected, Karen thinks she is the victim. "Lee said she was immersed all day in “crisis management.” She had to hire extra phone operators to field calls from people upset with her decision. “It’s been horrible,” she said. “My inbox has been inundated with nasty, horrible messages.” She said had to contact police because she was feeling threatened. Assistant Police Chief Bill Linn said there “an active investigation going on” but he declined to go into specifics. “I can say our No. 1 concern is overall public safety, so we are just being attentive to what’s going on over there,” he said. “We have a case number and we are actively keeping an eye on the developments in that situation.” Owens said she regularly gets tested because she travels often, but her experience in Aspen was a first."
So in this case should bakery owners be forced to make wedding cakes for lifestyles they disagree with? Same principle.
Some people, such as yourself, do make a religion out of the vaccine but the rational world sees a difference. Sorry.
Not really, the bakery owners invoked religious liberty and constitutional principles. If you think such principles come into play here, well, then, GREAT. Maybe we get some lawsuits going and chug away for a few years and see how much fun Karen is having. Yeh, and there needs to examination of her background, socia media posts, previous court history, bankruptcies, high school indiscretions, etc. Sure let's get this thing going. Sounds to me like Karen is already crying "victim." CRANK IT UP.
