They are the JGB 1 minute charts on the TSE that you

I assumed they were either 1 or 2 minute. I forgot that the min. movement is 1 tick at 10,000 yen per tick. LoL. That has to be the largest per tick vehicles on earth.

90 dollars a tick ----u get can really make or loose some dough. I expect this market and all fixed income to get more volatile.

  3. 90 $ /tick! That's heavy!... and I trade the US 30Y... however the JGB seems the Bund on your charts ;)

I have traded the 30 year for over a decade. I am now more concentrating on the German and US ten year.

Are you a scalper? What timeframe do you trade the 30 year?

Nikkei futures are also 10000 per tick.

Yeah the full size are. I have traffic'd in those and I had up the new minis on OSE (the volume on those is just sick). The OSE minis are a good mover for smaller traders. I now trade the SGX Nikkei--- when I trade Asia.

(one product that I am trading currently is the EUR/JPY....it has been making monster moves intraday).

Both of those JGB charts are a near identicle 40 tick range (about 4k US dollars). Is that representative of what you guys are seeing of late?

By the way, are you trading from Japan.

The ATR (10 day) is .48. It rarely falls below .25.
    Yes, I live in Japan.

The JGB contract DOES NOT usually move by that much, yes during volatile times such as now 100+ ticks are entirely possible, but on normal days the range is more in the 20-30 tick ballpark.

TGM, then you should check out GBP/JPY and AUD/JPY then you see what monster moves are ;-) I also trade out of Tokyo, JGB futures options, and yen fx crosses. You?

Learner, do you trade yourself for a living or do you work for a bank? Just curious...do you frequent any of the chat forums that pertain to trading Japanese instruments? I set up a chat room #AsianFuturesTrading on www.financialchat.com, would love to exchange ideas/experiences...
