LOL, whopper of the decade. The law says illegals get deported. The law says border jumping is illegal. DACA is illegal as well. I see no reason to compromise and I see no effort on the part of democrats to compromise either. Why should they? They're winning and if they can stall the cuck republicans for a few more years, the entire country will turn into California, a third world shithole but one that dems run.
%% I did get a solar powered porch light. But its another good reason to leave CA. Its not the business of gov to promote solar or USa gov to promote low energy light bulbs
Could probably buy a lot of lightbulbs with the final cost over-runs on the bullet train they are attempting to build there. For those who are not that good at budgeting but want to know what the final cost will be, the formula for the right answer is to take the projected cost and then multiply it by Stormy Daniel's bra size and you will be in the right neighborhood. And then the cost goes up from there if you want it to actually be operational.
Usual Name is pushing propaganda. 1. Libertarians and conservatives are the only groups showing fidelity to the what the founding fathers believed in. Smaller centralized govt. More freedom. Rule of law by following the Constitution. I could go on and on. The issue is not conservatives the issues is that cronies are giving us the worst the democrats can produce and the worst the republicans can produce. To think that American is being run the way conservatives desire is propaganda. When, Since Reagan or maybe Gingrich was in Congress has anything been done the way conservatives suggest? This is now a crony, socialist, big govt and big govt interference with the markets issue, not a conservative issue.
Another point Usual Name made... he gave us the lefty shibboleth governments need immigrants to sustain itself. Socialist governments need immigrants on the bottom of the pyramid to subsidize the money already promised. A govt and a country operating properly does not need millions of new immigrants.
We got by just fine without any immigration for decades, you know back when the country was prospering and everyone was sharing in it.
People here illegally were deported at a higher rate than under the current regime. Jumping the border is illegal but seeking asylum is not. Asylum seekers must be heard and processed in accordance with the law. Any president may use deference under the law due to limited resources. If you are worried about America becoming a shithole then, as I said before, you REALLY need to review and reconsider supporting right wing economic policies. Immigrants are simply not a large enough portion of the population to have the systematic impact you are attributing to them.
Wrong. We have a low procreation problem in America. Americans are simply not having enough children to support the country we built into the future. If we wish to sustain our current standard of living one of two things has to happen we have to increase child births per household by approximately 30% or we need immigration. Without the two things above then we are simply going to decline as a nation.
This is one of the problems facing the U.S. and other western nations. The problem with a "graying population" is much worst in some European nations and Japan than the U.S. The only way for the U.S. to support our social benefit system and workforce needs in the future decades is to import immigrants. The best source of these immigrants for the U.S. is Mexico and Central America. Most of these people simply want to come here to work. However we need a control our immigration to only bring in people with needed skills (which includes many blue collar trades, construction, etc.) and to also weed out criminals. There should also be a requirement that immigrants cannot use income-based social benefits (in other words they are not eligible for Welfare). This is how Canada and other responsible nations do it. This, of course, means that we simply cannot have an open border and allow everyone to jump over it - while not even knowing already who most of the 11 million people plus in the U.S. illegally are already. There needs to be a controlled immigration process and a "wall" at our border. Those who do not control immigration don't own their country. The practical reality is that after 2050 we may be making payments to immigrants as an incentive to have them move to the U.S.
