Lemme guess. The lefty media is saying that Mueller's statement is even more reason why Trump needs to be impeached. Not sure how that argument works but I know it is out there. I will watch CNN later and see how the spin works. This is how news reporting works in mainstream media now. You start with the conclusion that Trump needs to be impeached and then you work backwards to line up your "facts." If no facts, well, then just make some up.
I don't object to your use of the pejorative term "spin" for interpretation, meaning "biased interpretation." I am clearly biased, especially by my firm belief that Trump is a dangerous psychopath. In my view his sociopathic narcissism would predispose him to requesting Cohen to lie while remaining oblivious to potential consequences. That, by itself, certainly doesn't mean Trump did do this. Whereas I would think it very unlikely that a mentally balanced person would accept the risk of doing this, risk wouldn't be a consideration to a sociopathic narcissist. When I combine my observations with known facts: Trumps mental disorder, Cohen's acknowledged lying to Congress, and Mueller's curiously circumspect statement, I am inclined to think it more likely than not that Trump did seek to influence Cohen's testimony under oath, and also that Mueller has independent corroboration, the existence and nature of which he hopes to conceal for the moment. That this is a leap too far for you to take reinforces my general impression that your judgement is generally sound. I am most definitely speculating, or "spinning" if you prefer, based on known facts in combination with my observations.

Exactly they Already had Trump on the ropes, then they do this and just make themselves look like a bunch of jackasses. Trump and the media are engaged in a never ending circular firing squad, where only the dimmest bulbs are still saying one or the other is actually pure.
After they spend an entire day breathlessly reporting on it (literally nonstop coverage on every channel) they dust themselves off and say "Well we said "IF"" It would be funny if Trump now played hardball with buzzfeed and sued them out of existence, like when Hulk Hogan took down gawker for bullshit reporting.
