  6. Evolution plays a large role. Storing calories as fat helped keep our species alive to hunt another day. We're not wired to have to have self control in our eating.

  7. the adult obesity rate in Japan is 4%. The rate in the US in 1950 was 9% (it's 34% now). do you think there's an evolutionary difference between americans now and 60 years ago? I don't think so!!! So why did americans 60 years ago and japanese people today have self-control, but current-day americans don't??

  8. There are too many fast food restaurants in the U.S. nowadays. Less people exercise and spend time outdoors, since they have 1,000 channels on TV, internet, and video games.
