  2. As I said in a previous post, I will not tolerate people such as yourself that continue to BASH CALIFORNIA for no other reason than a Conservatives vs Liberals philosophical debate when the fact of the matter is that our State faces many issues that have virtually nothing to do with politics.

First off, you do not live in the Golden State and I think that your "approach" and lack of understanding on the issues that our State faces is indicative of your lack of understanding what is in fact going on here.

Secondly, you obviously have shown no understanding whatsover about the issues that our State is confronted with, mostly because you consistently make misrepresentations and completely FALSE STATEMENTS about issues that you really do not have a total grasp of. The "CONSERVATIVE" BRUSH that colors much of your thinking does not help you either because as I said earlier, the issues facing California are not relegated to the classic "conservatives vs liberals" debate. Yet, you continue to speak out on issues regarding California with a "Hannity & Colmes" type of emotional FOX TV conservative rag-tag logic, that really has nothing to do with the challenges that the State of California faces. For you, everything that is wrong with the State of California comes down to socialistic principles of the Democratic Party, nothing more, nothing less. For you, it's all tied up in a nice little SIMPLISTIC package with a nice little bow on top!

For example, you state that illegal aliens BYPASS Arizona and instead head for the RED CARPET that California has laid-out for them. This statement is totally false, and the statistics do not back you up on this. Arizona has a tremendous influx of illegals!
Who are you trying to kid? In fact, there is a group of people trying to recall Gov. Napolitano because they believe that she is in "Bed with the President of Mexico" for Christ's sake!

Besides, ever think that illegals come to California because of the weather, the jobs? Nah, you can't even begin to comprehend that the latter could possibly be true because it doesn't fit into your nice little Conservative vs Liberal box with the box on top!

Perhaps if you took off our "blinders" you might actually make some sense, and in that way allow others to see that your point of view HAS SOME SUBSTANCE TO IT AND IS NOT ALWAYS THE SAME SONG BEING PLAYED OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

Moreover, your claim about the RED CARPET that Gov. Grey Davis and California lays out for illegal aliens is clearly refuted by State Proposition 187 which has been around since 1994. If anything, it is a failure by the INS and the Federal government to defend its borders, not too mention supercede State legislation with Federal PRUCOL statutes which I eluded to in one of my previous posts.

I also find it amusing how you can state that California is the SUV capital of the world and that "Californians have no concern for their air quality (LOL)" and say that you were just joking, but when I write in SATIRE about having "voted" for Ahnald Schwarzenegger and in doing so sarcastically highlight the SHRIVER FAMILY ( those bleeding-heart liberals ) that stand behind him during his acceptance speech, you then tell me that I am a liar and have a credibility problem.

So what's wrong Little Boy Blue?
You get to be sarcastic and joke around, and I am not allowed to do the same?

I stated in a previous thread that I voted for Tom McClintock.
Everyone on this board is aware of that, especially after the posting by "reflexive-trader".

If you want to continue to challenge that, take a trip to the Voters Registration Office in Contra Costa County to verify that I am a registered REPUBLICAN.

Oh, and by the way . . .
Can someone on this board tell me why President Bush is a PROTECTIONIST when it comes to TRADE and yet is not tough on defending our borders? I thought that Republican Presidents were for FREE-TRADE, no? Remember Reagan? Remember Bush, Sr.?

    I do!

  3. waggie,

My understanding was that Prop 187 was ruled unconstitutional by some idiot federal district court judge and Gov. Davis refused to appeal the ruling, since he was against it anyway. He also signed a bill granting illegals driver licenses. I think it's fair to say he went out of his way to cater to the illegal immigration activists.

Waggie your credibility is gone. You can't use satire as an excuse for lieing because you don't have a history of going around on the boards and acting as a satirist. Instead you go around the boards claiming to be right about everything and a man of the facts. Yet you get called out on a lie and then get exposed by having a PM published which exposes you as trying to do nothing but assassinate my character.

You might think I look at everything as conservative vs liberal or white vs black, that is fine. But I do not lie and I do not go on these boards to attack other people's character. You have some serious issues that you need to resolve. Maybe mommy didn't love you enough as a child or maybe you got your ass kicked too many times in grade school. I'm not your therapist so I have no interest in getting to the bottom of your psychological problems.

And most of my remarks where not so much an attack on California as much as they were attack on the liberal minded people in Bay area. You can call yourself a republican all you want, at the end of the day only you know the truth.

    Take A Closer Look . . .
at who was standing behind Ahnald last night at the Victory Celebration:

    THE SHRIVER FAMILY !!!

Arnold is about as REPUBLICAN as a $3.00 bill.

    Say hello to another Democrat!

Maverick, the above post on October 8th of this year that was started by Gordon Gekko regarding Arnold Schwarzenegger is PROOF that I not only have used SATIRE before in this forum, but also one that SPECIFICALLY REFERENCES AHNALD AND THE SHRIVER FAMILY in the deepest of sarcasm.

If you can't see this, you really are a lot dumber than I thought.
Oh and by the way, I'm still waiting for you to prove with actual numbers that illegals bypass Arizona . . . I'm sure you'll get right back to me on that one!

  6. From Maverick on 12/5:

"Waggie, I hate to break this to you but California is a socialist state. That's the problem. Stop blaming Bush and everyone else. California is a perfect example of a mico level what would happen to the country on a macro level if we adopted many of the socialistic principles of the democratic party. If you look very carefully at other socialist nations around the world, you will see they have the exact same problems California has.'

    From Maverick on 12/9:

"And most of my remarks where not so much an attack on California as much as they were attack on the liberal minded people in Bay area."

By all means, please let us know which of the above remarks were an attack on the liberal minded people in the Bay Area?

Waggie you are as phony as they come. That remark says absolutely nothing. And I have been reading your posts for over a year on this site as you are not a satirist, just a know it all prick from the bay area that has to massage his ego from time to time. Here is your f*cking numbers. Take them and stick them up your ass because your brain won't be ablle to f*cking comprehend them.

    http://ads.specificpop.com/pop_code;gid=17,pid=280,bid=1453,rid=509362212

In January 2000, California was home to 2.2 million undocumented residents, accounting for 32 percent of the national total. That figure isn't far from previous estimates. However, it reaffirms that California still is home to a lion's share of undocumented residents.

    http://www.modbee.com/opinion/story/7619249p-8526523c.html

Ironically, the major impact of Proposition 187 has been precisely the opposite of what its framers intended; it has actually increased the number of illegal immigrants in California

With immigrant guides (coyotes) demanding higher payments and the border-crossing routes stretching into the California-Arizona desert and becoming more dangerous, Mexicans who once came to California for seasonal work, especially in agriculture, but maintained their homes in Mexico, found it less dangerous and less expensive to remain in the state permanently. And they began relocating their families as well.

A new analysis by the Washington-based Center for Immigration Studies, based on 2000 census data, finds that between 1990 and 2000 California's foreign-born residents expanded by nearly 40 percent, from 6.4 million to 8.8 million, and now comprise a quarter of the state's population. Other studies have found that immigration and births to foreign-born mothers now account for virtually all of the state's net population growth.

Estimated Distribution of the Illegal Alien Population

    State Low Estimate High Estimate
    Arizona 283,000 444,000

    California 2,209,000 3,466,000

California is a socialist state and the bay area has a unusually high number of ignorant liberals who I take aim at. So what was your point with these two quotes.

Calling California a socialist state is not an attack on California. I have no problem with that at all. The only people in California I tend to have a problem with are the Bay area liberals. Again, I ask the question, do you have a point here?

  9. Gee Maverick,

I thought that you were smart enough to compare the amount of illegal aliens based as a PERCENTAGE OF THE TOTAL POPULATION and not as an absolute number! Are you that stupid?

The last time that I checked, CALIFORNIA had a total population of 35.1 million residents as of 2002, and ARIZONA had a population of 5.45 million as of 2002. To state as you have that "illegal aliens bypass Arizona" for California" using ABSOLUTE numbers would be comparing apples to oranges, and completely absurd.

Citing YOUR very own statistics from www.fairus.org about the amount of illegal aliens in each state, we see that the most recent estimate ( the Low Estimate ) that was made in 2000 would give use the following percentages:

    CALIFORNIA: 2.2 / 35.11 million = 6.26%

    ARIZONA: 283k / 5.45 million = 5.19%

    http://www.areaconnect.com/population.htm?s=CA

    http://www.areaconnect.com/population.htm?s=AZ

As a Percentage of the Total State Population, I would hardly say that "illegals have bypassed Arizona for California".

Once again Maverick, you and your ridiculous logic have once again been proven wrong!

Waggie, we are not talking about % of the population here. If a guy comes to a fork in the road and has to either go right or left, he is basing that decision on which direction provides the most opportunity for him. The fact of the matter is when Mexicans come up to the American border and they have to choose between Arizona, New Mexico and California, they are overwhelmingly choosing California. They could care less about percentages. They are going to where they feel offers the most economic benefit. Comparing the numbers as a percentage of total population is pointless. Hell, my State of Illinois has a larger immigrant population then Arizona and I'm 1,000 miles away from the Mexican border. What do you have to say about that? So your argument is a mute point but thanks for trying.
