Guliani and Clinton both lost because they were jerks to people. Guliani, as an example, called a farmer up and told him "I'd like to come to your farm and meet people from your community, can you invite all of your friends, neighbors etc to come and talk to me". So, the farmer did, and then after he had gone to all the trouble of inviting the entire town to his farm, setting up the food, drink etc for the town Guliani called and said Oh by the way, we'd like you to donate $10,000...oh you cant..well, we won't be coming to your event then. That got a lot of coverage here, and he lost a lot of popularity after that.
I never heard that story. I know from listening to some recordings of radio shows he did while mayor that he's mean spirited. I still think he did a pretty good job post 9/11 but he surfed on that reputation for too long....He wanted to wait till Florida (Huckabee won Iowa on a shoestring budget and a guitar, and McCain won new Hampshire) to campaign and when he started campaigning , people just didn't like him. The more they saw of him, the more they rejected him. I still think McCain is a good guy. nobody would dispute his military /national security credentials. However, he failed with his choice of vice president (Huckabee, Romney and Pawlenty would have been better ) and he failed to steer the party to a more inclusive nature. like Bush did in 2000 with his "big tent" theme. I can't wait for Nov 4 for this thing to be over, and to get to talk about sthg else.
Obama is just another lying pos as far as I can tell. He's not a Socialist nowadays... but he wants universal health care and wealth redistribution!!
Post Rev. Wright tapes Obama went 2-9 against Clinton in the last 11 primaries. His win in North Carolina which sealed the deal came on the back of 30% black turnout with Obama getting 90% of those votes. If Obama were white his name would be John Edwards.....
