Army Col. In Trouble For Wanting To Protect Troops, Kill Enemy

  1. Isn't that his job? Apparently not, at least not in our modern, progressive, multiculturalist-inspired, meals on wheels Army. Seems he didn't buy into the idioitic "counterinsurgency" doctrine being pushed by Patreus and the other politicians in waiting in the Pentagon. Under Patrues' theory, our troops are supposed to make avoiding afghan "civilian" casualties their hgihest priority, even if it makes them sitting ducks for the taliban and leaves them unable to respond to attacks. Patreus has gone so native that he no longer understand basic First Amendment rights in our own country and seems to believe we should allow the taliban to dictate our actions.

Maybe this colonel is a moron and a prick, but I give him credit for standing up for the soldiers serving under him. Damn few brass are willing to do that these days, and of course, that is the reason he is being punished.
