That's the sort of sick thinking religion brings to some. A mind virus that interferes with all reasonable understanding.
Here it is in all its glory, the pious infection of religion excusing a conscience into believing an imaginary so called sin against a make-believe deity is worse than killing or physically attacking another human being.

Free someone's mind enough that their brains fall out, dumb down reality enough to the point where they end up religious.

    You seem to be suggesting

A proves but doesn't prove everything
    B doesn't prove

because A doesn't prove everything therefore B proves something.

  3. i get it now. you have been scared by the concept of hell. that i can understand. religion is very good at using the fear card on people with a certian mentality.
use your mind to explore the concept of hell to free yourself from this irrational fear. hell is a human concept invented by the church to keep the sheep in the pews. it only exists in the mind of the believer. it does not exist literally.
i actually feel sorry for people who have had their mind corrupted into a fear of eternal torture. how sad it must be to live a life fearing that if you make one wrong move you will face eternal torture by fire.

  4. you qwest to prove science wrong in hopes that it somehow will make what you believe true is misguided. do you realize that even if everything science knows was proven false tomorrow it would not bolster your case one bit. you should spend your time looking for evidence to prove what you believe is true instead of hoping that if you find some small things science has got wrong it will make what the bible says true.
debating with you is pretty much futile because i can tell you mind is lost but i do so in hopes that some lurker many be able to free his mind from religious superstition.

Your quest to prove that God doesn’t exist in hopes that it somehow will make what you believe true is misguided. You should spend your time looking for evidence to prove what you believe is true instead of hoping that if you find some small things that the Bible has got wrong it will make what some science text book says true.

Debating with you is pretty much futile because i can tell you mind is lost but i do so in hopes that some lurker many be able to free his mind from unproven scientific theory.

    Vhehn,

I know God exists, because I feel His presence in my life, I see His guidance in my life and His power in answered prayers. You won’t find that in any science book, but it is proven daily in the hearts and lives of all true believers.

It’s a faith issue. At one time I was against God, did what ever I wanted, and gave him little or know thought. But by his Love and Grace ( which he offers to all who seek it), he convinced me of the Truth, I turned my life over to Him, and He gave me forgiveness, peace and a personal relationship that just gets better the more I seek him.

The best trade I ever made.

  6. Yes. What kind of god will create people who make sin, and that same god create a hell to torture them. So stupid and evil that god must be. That god could create all good people if he can create good and bad people.

  7. you hope to make people reject science over religion? science gave you the computer that you type on. what advancement of the human condition has religion given man?

"I know God exists, because I feel "
i hope you realize this feeling is an emotion. emotions are not evidence.

Reject Science? Not at all, just that science is not the answer. Science can not give me what God has – Peace and Forgiveness.

Emotions I agree are not evidence, but the changes in my life, what I was unable to do, are.

    Regards,

  9. ok. be honest now. if you found tomorrow like many others have the the bible is nothing more than a collection of primitive myths would you instantly fall back into whatever your prior nasty habits were or have you matured enough on your own by now that you know right from wrong?
the character flaw was in you. the proof is that many non believers live happy productive lives without your crutch.

  10. I can't for the life of me understand why some folks try to make the argument that christians are anti-science.

    Science, as defined as follows:

"..systematized knowledge of any one department of mind or matter; the whole field of acknowledged truths and laws, especially as demonstrated by induction, experiment, or observation......."

For me, the scientific realities are a product of Creation. G-D is the Master scientist, if you will. Nothing contained in what we call science can or will contradict G-d's Word. It is part and parcel of the capabilities and possibilities that are put before each and everyone of us, everyday. G-D has put an endless amount of possibilities in front of us, for our use, our enjoyment, our health, for tools and for our well being. They give purpose and meaning to our individual and corporate "history".

When we pursue these possibilities, without keeping in mind the Creator of science, we devolve into worshipping the creature and not the Creator. When we depart from scientific knowledge (i.e., observable and quantifiable), "science" becomes theory, theory becomes speculation, and when theory becomes dogmatic, it ceases to become scientific and rather becomes religious.

I would close by saying this is my "two cents", but given the coming inflationary spiral, I fear I have given my "five cents".
