There is certainty, there will ALWAYS be more losing traders than those who make a Life trading. If you just getting by from your trading, YOU making a living, not a life.

"Certainty" unless the government changes the rules, it is certain I will continue to do what I do and never have to work a 9-5 job unless I want. I laugh so many times reading posts on forum, thank you Baron for making this forum, as it allows me to come and go freely as I have time, all the times traders say that price is doing odd things. This tells me they have no clue on what has happened in the past, there is nothing I have not lived through/or studied at least twice, longer you trade, you will say "Hey, I seen this before".

A good trader does back testing or you have a lucky coin to flip, but we are all gambling that gravity will always exist and what was back tested will continue to work into the future, even the lucky coin as rules of money management means more than where you entry unless you are a scalper and even there one does much averaging down. I LOVE AUGUST WHEREAS most take vacations or back test, one of the best months of the year for those who are learning and doing sim is to do so in August, tight ES patterns, you learn to ACCEPT many one tick trades. Other day someone was doing sim and did 26 trades and worst was one tick profitable trades, I truly understand it is difficult to accept many one tick trades waiting for 2 pointer, but this is ONE of MANY reasons traders lose, they get bored and do trade that more likely be certainty to lose.

People with a certainty have no clue how hard it is to become a breakeven trader and should rejoice when half their trades are one tick winners as you becoming more in tune with your rules. Certainty stressful to have to sit there and watch ticks not break wildly in one direction to then get on board. So difficult to get to stage of breakeven and certainty is harder to not return to losing. Words are words, but charts never lie, I don't trade words, I don't care what people's opinions are as they not included in my Trading Plan. But I do like to read other folks of how they see situations, it might trigger a new system to back test.

Have a fine weekend all, I enjoy the good and the bad, off to Starbucks.

Then maybe the thread title should be "Are you still chasing certainty?"
